New Heads Up Displays For Motorcycles Hit the Market

SEATTLE, Nov. 14, 2005 -- The pioneers of the world's first personal Heads Up displays have created two powerful products for motorcycle riders, SportVue(TM) MC1 and MC2. The wireless display systems use "Top Gun" technology once reserved only for fighter pilots.

SportVue(TM) Heads Up displays mount onto full-face helmets, giving the rider a constant real-time view of critical information, such as speed, rpm, gear position, and radar alert. The data appears in a personal display to "hover" just above the horizon, focused at infinity.

"I first envisioned SportVue(TM) while racing in the Indianapolis 500," says SportVue creator and veteran race car driver Dominic Dobson. "Drivers lose precious seconds glancing down at dashboard displays. I started to think there must be a better way."

With that vision, and with the help of virtual reality experts at the University of Washington's Human Interface Technology Lab, Dobson created SportVue(TM). The new MC2 unit includes a new radar-detection feature, and is compatible with most existing radar detectors.

The first SportVue(TM) products, MC1 and MC2 for motorcycles, are available now, on-line at www.sportvue.com or through distributors worldwide. For a limited time, a special rebate program will save buyers up to $90.00 when they buy SportVue(TM) in time for the holidays.

SportVue(TM) technology is already in place in products for skydiving and racing. Future plans include products for bicycles, skiers, and divers, among others, and Motion Research Corporation has just released a Heads Up display product for commercial and industrial use, SportVue(TM) PRO. The software allows for both serial and USB interfaces and is programmable for universal applications. Some uses include guidance systems for construction and agriculture, monitoring systems for manufacturing, measurement and testing systems for environmental monitoring, emergency response and situational awareness systems for law enforcement, military and first responders, and general communications systems, instant messaging and pager applications. SportVue(TM) is a trademark of Motion Research Corporation, an information display and monitoring solutions provider for sports and industrial applications. MRC is currently developing products based upon its patented technologies: a Heads Up Display (HUD) and the Autonomous Personal Data Recorder and Transmitter (APDRT) system.
