Machined Parts Manufacturer Brings Jobs to Detroit

Minority Enterprise to Offer Opportunities to Focus: HOPE Graduates

DETROIT, Dec. 1 -- Hall Metallic, a precision machined parts manufacturer, officially opened its doors on the campus of Focus: HOPE, near the M-10 Lodge freeway and the Davison Freeway in Detroit. Owner and CEO Ronald Hall, Sr. made the announcement during a grand opening event on November 30, 2005. Hall is an esteemed minority enterprise entrepreneur who has founded several companies dedicated to bringing jobs to Detroit, most notably Bridgewater Interiors, LLC, a supplier of seats to the automotive industry.

Hall Metallic specializes in the manufacture of precision-machined parts at low production costs for the automotive industry. Its parts, which include spool shafts, safety restraints, worm gear blanks and shafts, are used in powertrain, chassis, and interior applications by most OEM automakers.

"It is very exciting to be launching a business in Detroit today," said Roman Hall, president and COO of Hall Metallic. "The energy level in this city is invigorating, and it is extremely satisfying knowing that we are brining jobs to Detroit, as well as offering opportunities for young people to capitalize on their education at Focus: HOPE."

Hall Metallic has a loose affiliation with Focus: HOPE, a nationally recognized civil and human rights organization in Detroit. Its mission is to use intelligent and practical action to fight racism, poverty and injustice. Part of Focus: HOPE's programming includes education and training in information technology, manufacturing and engineering. Hall Metallic is looking to the organization to provide a steady stream of graduates that will help sustain its growth.

"Companies like Hall Metallic should be commended for committing to Detroit," said Eleanor Josaitis, co-founder and CEO of Focus: HOPE. "We are thrilled to establish an affiliation with a company dedicated to advancing minorities in the skilled trades and offering opportunities for self improvement and self determination."

The grand opening event was attended by Hall Metallic customers, Focus: HOPE board members, and government officials.
