Toyota and Honda Report Record Sales for November
Washington DC December 2, 2005; The AIADA newsletter reported that early reports indicate a record month of sales in November for Toyota and Honda, with Nissan and DaimlerChrysler posting modest losses, reports USA Today.
Toyota’s sales increased by over 10 percent from a year ago, while Honda gained 11 percent. Hyundai also appears to have had a tremendous month, with car sales up 23 percent.
The Detroit three all reported losses in sales, with Ford off 15 percent from last year. Nissan reported a 4 percent loss, and Kia and Isuzu also reported losses.
According to Autodata, Total SUV sales dropped 12 percent overall for the month, and overall sales were down 3 percent.
