Exciting CES Product Launches for the Car and Home to Propel HD Radio(TM) into 2006

New Multicast HD Radio Receivers and Features to Be Showcased in Numerous Booths Throughout the Show Floor

COLUMBIA, MD, Dec. 13 -- The exciting new lineup of HD Radio receiver products and features will be on display this year in the iBiquity Digital booth at CES -- located in the Convention Center North Hall, #4616 -- as well as multiple partner booths. Among the highlights: (1) new HD Radio receivers across multiple product categories, including OEM, automotive, tabletop, and custom home, (2) live multicast programming from local Las Vegas stations, (3) vehicle navigation demonstrations, and much more.

"Following last week's announcement about the formation of the HD Digital Radio Alliance, consumer interest in HD Radio technology has never been greater. In 2006, we will continue to work with our partners to help meet this increased demand with new HD Radio products, lower prices, and more channels of HD Radio programming," said Robert Struble, president and CEO of iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developers of HD Radio technology. "There are more than 600 AM and FM stations broadcasting digital HD Radio signals today, and we expect that number to double next year. When you factor in the additional programming made available by HD Radio multicasting, the actual figure will be even larger. We look forward to 2006 as the year HD Radio reaches the mainstream consumer, and all of the new products and features to help us achieve this goal will be on display at CES."

HD Radio(TM) At-A-Glance

Over 3,000 radio stations in the U.S. are either on the air or in the process of converting to the HD Radio system with more than 600 HD Radio broadcasters broadcasting in digital. HD Radio technology transmits digital audio and data alongside existing AM and FM analog signals, allowing listeners with HD Radio-compatible receivers to enjoy CD-quality sound, while virtually eliminating the static and hiss often associated with analog radio. Beyond delivering superior sound, the technology provides a platform for advanced new services, including scrolling text on receiver displays (e.g., artist names & song titles, weather forecasts, school closings); delivery of real-time traffic updates to vehicles; and multicasting -- a feature that allows FM stations to broadcast up to eight digital streams of programming over a single frequency and in addition to existing analog signals. HD Radio receivers are now available or are expected in early 2006 from: ADA, Alpine, Boston Acoustics, DaySequerra, DICE Electronics, ECLIPSE by Fujitsu Ten, JVC, Kenwood, Panasonic, Polk Audio, Radiosophy, Rotel, Sanyo, and Yamaha, with many more under development.
