Subaru of America Records 2006 Best March Sales in Company History

- Total sales up 10% from same period last year; Subaru Impreza posts double-digit growth -

CHERRY HILL, N.J., April 3 -- Subaru of America, Inc. today reported March sales totaling 19,048 units. This total represents a 10 percent increase over the same period last year. Sales of the Subaru Impreza model also jumped 14 percent.

"We are tremendously pleased with the sales momentum we gained this month - setting an all-time record March for Subaru," said Fred Adcock, executive vice president, Subaru of America, Inc. "Our dealership traffic continued to build throughout the month, as consumers are responding to our new campaign, 'It's What Makes a Subaru, a Subaru.'"

The Subaru B9 Tribeca recorded 1,966 units for the month of March. The Subaru Legacy model line posted a total of 7,642 units, with Subaru Outback posting 5,423 units for the month. Subaru Impreza posted a 14 percent increase with 3,154 unit sales. Subaru Forester totaled 5,859 units, while Subaru Baja recorded 427 units for the month.
