Industry Leaders Discuss National Consumer Education Campaign
on Auto Financing
WHAT: In a groundbreaking effort, many of the largest players in the
vehicle financing industry have joined forces on a major
education initiative called AWARE (Americans Well-informed on
Automobile Retailing Economics). Utilizing an arsenal of
customer-education tools, AWARE's goal is to ensure that
potential buyers of new and used vehicles thoroughly understand
the auto financing process.
AWARE Chairman Randy Lively, who is also the President and CEO
of the American Financial Services Association, along with
William Bradshaw, chairman of the National Automobile Dealers
Association, will speak to reporters at the Washington
Automotive Press Association Luncheon where they will discuss
the progress this unprecedented industry collaborative
initiative is making to raise awareness about the auto financing
system. They will also discuss some of the most common mistakes
consumers make when seeking auto financing.
The membership of AWARE (http://www.autofinancing101.org/)
includes the American Financial Services Association, National
Automobile Dealers Association, National Association of Minority
Automobile Dealers, American International Automobile Dealers
Association, and auto dealers and finance companies.
