GM Certified Used Vehicles Teams with AutoTrader.com on "No Worries" Promotion

DETROIT – GM Certified Used Vehicles, the top-selling manufacturer-certified used vehicle brand, is teaming with AutoTrader.com, the Internet’s leading auto classified marketplace and consumer information website, to nationally advertise its “GM Certified Used Vehicles: No worries” campaign.

The promotion, effective May 1 to June 30, 2006, offers prize premiums to in-market shoppers on AutoTrader.com, including golf balls, umbrellas and iTunes gift certificates. GM Certified ads placed on the AutoTrader.com website will drive visitors to GM Certified Used Vehicle listings and will offer customers their choice of one free promotional item for completing the entry form.

The promotion will touch over 3 million used GM vehicle shoppers per month and drive them into a certified search for their next vehicle. All AutoTrader.com shoppers indicating interest in a used GM brand will be exposed to the “GM Certified: No worries” promotional message – and provided a promotion entry form. After submitting the entry form, the shopper will then be directed to either a local GM Certified dealer or a GM Certified Used Vehicle search. Only GM Certified dealers and inventory will be part of the search process.

"More consumers today are using the Web to shop for their next vehicle,” said J. Schaffer, national advertising and marketing manager, GM Certified Used Vehicles. “To that end, we’re focused on educating our dealers on how to most effectively market and advertise on their dealership Web sites and leverage GM Certified national consumer promotions with leading third-party automotive sites like AutoTrader.com to grow their sales.”
