Tom W. LaSorda Appointed For An Additional 5 years as Member of the Chrysler Group Board of Management

Stuttgart, July 27, 2006 The Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler AG has reconfirmed Tom W. LaSorda (52) as a Member of the Board of Management responsible for the Chrysler Group Division. Tom W. LaSorda's appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chrysler Group will be extended for an additional 5 years through April 30, 2012. His current contract expires April 30, 2007. LaSorda has been a Member of the Board of Management since May 1, 2004.
