Car Buying Options Expand From New and Used to Include "Certified" - VIDEO NEWS STORY

EDITOR'S NOTE: While the concept of "Certified Used Cars" shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that hasn't been in a coma or on a desert island during the last few years, GM apparently thought that producing and distributing the following Video News Release would be breaking news. What can you say, GM chose XM over Sirius? Well, what the heck, take a look. It couldn't hurt.

DETROIT - August 17, 2006: Consumers looking to purchase a car no longer have to choose between just new and used. Now dealerships also offer "certified pre-owned" cars – a vehicle that must pass a multi-point inspection (which is conducted by the dealership but designed by the original manufacturer) and meets specific mileage requirements. Once a car is deemed "certified", General Motors officials say many manufacturers will offer financing options and a warranty.
