EDITOR'S NOTE: While the concept of "Certified Used Cars" shouldn't be a surprise to anyone
that hasn't been in a coma or on a desert island during the last few years, GM apparently
thought that producing and distributing the following Video News Release would be breaking news.

DETROIT - August 17, 2006: Consumers looking to purchase a car no longer have to choose between just new and used. Now dealerships also offer "certified pre-owned" cars – a vehicle that must pass a multi-point inspection (which is conducted by the dealership but designed by the original manufacturer) and meets specific mileage requirements. Once a car is deemed "certified", General Motors officials say many manufacturers will offer financing options and a warranty.
