DaimlerChrysler Launches 2006 United Way Torch Drive with Unique Twist on Olympic Games

DaimlerChrysler employees and executives for torch lighting
AUBURN HILLS - August 22, 2006: On Wednesday, August 23rd, DaimlerChrysler will kick off
its United Way Corporate Campaign with an Olympic-style salute to families and
fun with its executives, employees and special guests. The event will include:
* Torch-lighting ceremony with Chrysler Group President and CEO Tom
LaSorda and Senior Vice President - Human Resources Chrysler Group and
HR Center NAFTA Nancy Rae
* Driving Out Social Issues (executive golf challenge)
* Pouring Hope into the Community (executive water race)
* Chrysler Group employee competitions
The event will take place at Chrysler Group Headquarters, Tower Front Lawn, Auburn Hills,
and the schedule for the event is as follows:
* 11:30 - 11:50 a.m. -- Team competitions/"Back to School Challenge"
