Paris Motor Show September 29, 2006; Opel has launched on the European market its first product for the SUV and crossover segment, the Opel Antara.

Since 1998, the share of SUV and crossover segment in Europe has grown from 3% to 6% of the total market, GM officials said. During the press conference, GM also unveiled the Chevrolet WTCC Ultra Concept car.

The Chevrolet brand set a European market share record with sales 12% up from last year.
