Celebrity car Fall NFL Issue

CELEBRITY CAR'S FALL '06 "NFL" ISSUE OFFERS EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK INTO GARAGES OF PRO FOOTBALL'S FINEST

Lifestyle Magazine also Profiles Rapper Chamillionaire, Galpin's Beau Boeckmann of Pimp My Ride, and Overhaulin's Adrienne Janic -- On Newsstands October 11th

St. Petersburg, Fla. (October 6, 2006) - While most of the NFL action happens on the field, there's also heated competition for the hottest ride on the street. Celebrity car magazine, the popular go-to lifestyle magazine that lets readers enter the lives of the rich and famous through their passion for the automobile is set to debut their fall NFL issue. Featuring Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick on its cover, Celebrity car let's you be the judge who's winning off the field and in the garage, available on newsstands Oct. 11th.

"The rich and famous are usually very private about their lives and personal spending habits; however, when it comes to sports, stars they love to show off their automobiles," says Tom duPont publisher of duPont REGISTRY. "With a great deal of visibility, star quality and income at their disposal, it's only natural that the hottest players in the NFL drive some of the hottest cars on the market."

Michael Vick - Rides to Match His Success

Star quarterback Michael Vick's personal fleet has grown to include a bevy of exclusive cars and SUVs. Rattling them off with joy, he says, "I've got the Bentley Flying Spur, the Bentley Coupe, a Benz 500 and a 2006 Navigator." Happy to share his passion, Vick also states that his mom now has more cars than he does, including a Chrysler 300 and a Cadillac XLR convertible.

Larry Fitzgerald - Too Many Cars, Too Little Space

When not running pass patterns, standout wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald prefers running up the revs on his collection of European iron. Boasting four super power vehicles, Fitzgerald's collection includes a bright red BMW 745i, a Range Rover Sport, and two high-performance Benzs. While he claims he doesn't have a favorite, his 2007 Mercedes SL550 is his choice for cruising. "The ladies like to ride in this car," he says.

Rudi Johnson - Going the Distance for Distinction.

If you've watched Rudi go the distance on the field you're familiar with his knack for standing out and his latest automotive purchases are no different. Beginning with a black Range Rover imported from the U.K. (the only one of its kind in the U.S., according to him), he also drives a chocolate brown 2005 Bentley Continental GT Mulliner and his everyday "work truck" is a distinctive silver Mercedes-Benz G500 with black interior appointments he calls "the Terminator."

Chamillionaire - Rap Customizing

Most music stars rent cars for their videos; however, Chamillionaire makes his own. For one of his recent videos, custom designer Big E assembled a red, drop-top Cadillac Eldorado and Chamillionaire was so impressed with the custom work he went into business with him, forming Fly Rides, an automotive customizing shop. While most rappers purchase the requisite Bentley and Phantom, Chamillionaire says, "I like turning nothing into something.... Sometimes you'll find a diamond in the rough [car]...and I'll look at it and envision what I can turn it into. And when I'm done with it, it's gonna be crazy."

Adrienne "A. J." Janic - Overhaulin' Cohost Ready to Design

Before becoming the host of Overhaulin', A. J. admits she didn't know a thing about cars. "The guys [on the show] taught me to weld, use a grinder, use a plasma cutter, and prep and sand a car for paint.... Getting dirty is fun!" Now she's stepping it up and is ready to design a car for herself. She's working with Year One to create a '69 Camaro or Firebird coupe. She puts the emphasis on the "coupe" part because, she says, "I'm not into the funky tan lines you get driving around [L.A.] in convertibles."

Beau Boeckmann - Dealer Turned Designer

Growing up Boeckmann's "toy box" was Galpin Ford, the nation's largest Ford dealership, where his father forged a reputation selling "Galpinized" custom vehicles - from surfer vans to tricked-out trucks. Today, Boeckmann heads the dealership's customizing division and Galpin Auto Sports (G.A.S) is the new home of MTV's Pimp My Ride. His car collection includes three Shelby Mustangs - a 1968 GT 500KR, a 1965 Mustang carry-over vehicle that Shelby turned into a 1966 Shelby and a 1970 GT350 in red, white, and blue - one of only three produced that year in those colors and a car that Galpin Ford originally sold when new.
