Winnebago Industries, Inc. Receives 2006 Best Business Recycling Program Award

FOREST CITY, Iowa--Winnebago Industries was recently honored with the Best Business Recycling Program award from the Iowa Recycling Association at the 2006 Iowa Recycling and Solid Waste Management Conference in Dubuque, Iowa.

During the awards presentation, Winnebago Industries was honored for its outstanding recycling program and ongoing awareness to the environment. On average, Winnebago Industries recycles approximately 22,000,000 pounds of material annually.

Winnebago Industries is pleased to receive this award from the Iowa Recycling Association, said Winnebago Industries Chairman of the Board and CEO Bruce Hertzke. Preservation of the environment is particularly important to us since our products are designed specifically for facilitating the enjoyment of outdoor leisure activities. For over 15 years, we have taken an active recycling role in all areas of our company and strive to reduce, reuse and recycle. Recycling will continue to be an emphasis in our manufacturing processes as we move forward.

Through their many waste reduction and recycling activities, it is clear that Winnebago Industries has a commitment to sound waste management practices, said Michaela Rich, president of the Iowa Recycling Association. The Iowa Recycling Association acknowledges that commitment in honoring them with this award.
