Back Better Than Ever: Philly Auto Show Returns on February 3

-- Nine-day event to feature 700 Vehicles, Body2Body Competition and More --

EAST NORRITON, Pa., Jan. 22 -- The 2007 Philadelphia International Auto Show, owned and produced by the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP), will open to the public on February 3 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

The annual event will feature more than 700 vehicles from 40 different manufacturers, including concept, classic, luxury, pre-production and exotic models. Additional highlights include the popular Tuner Car Salon and the first-ever Body2Body Competition. Further, the ADAGP will continue its tradition of donating one dollar for every Auto Show attendee to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia through the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation.

"We have a great lineup for this year's event," said Scott Lustgarten, chairman of the 2007 Philadelphia International Auto Show and president of Wilkie Lexus, Martin Dealership Group and Lexus of Chester Springs. "From the industry's latest and greatest to first-time features and giveaways, it's all here at the 2007 Auto Show."

The Philadelphia International Auto Show is one of the largest auto shows in the country. It is vitally important to consumers in the Greater Philadelphia market, as it will influence buying decisions of over $3 billion in vehicle sales over the next twelve months.

From February 3-11, area residents will get their chance to check out hundreds of vehicles on the event's 550,000-square-ft. show floor at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Highlights include:

Concept Vehicles

Built by manufacturers to showcase a new automobile's styling, technology and overall design before production, concepts are a must-see at any industry event. Examples of concept vehicles that will be on the floor at the Philly Auto Show include the Chevrolet Camaro, Chrysler Imperial, Ford Reflex, Jeep Hurricane and Suzuki ZUK.

Pre-Production Vehicles

Philly Auto Show attendees will catch a glimpse of several vehicles before they hit the floors of local dealerships. Examples include the new Audi R8, Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Malibu, Ford Five Hundred, GMC Acadia, Hyundai Veracruz, Mazda CX-9, Mercury Mariner, Pontiac G6 GXP, Subaru Outback and Volvo C30.

Tuner Car Salon

Over 20,000 square feet of the Pennsylvania Convention Center are devoted to the Tuner Car Salon, which will showcase some of the hottest custom cars and celebrity vehicles of today. DUB Magazine's Celebrity Car Showcase will feature Danity Kane's 2007 DUB Edition Dodge Nitro and 2007 DUB Edition Dodge Caliber, The Game's 2007 DUB Edition SRT 8 Jeep Cherokee, Lil Scrappy's 2007 DUB Edition Buick Lucerne, Gwen Stefani's 2007 DUB Edition Gold Chevy Tahoe and Bam Margera's 2007 Hummer H2 on 30" wheels. A number of manufacturers will also have customized vehicles on display in the Tuner Car Salon, including Mazda, Scion, GM, Honda, Acura and Subaru.

Exotic Vehicle Display

Always a crowd favorite, the exotic vehicle display will feature models from Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Ferrari and much more.

Vintage Display

Courtesy of Concours D'Elegance of the Eastern U.S. and the Buckingham Concours D'Elegance, the vintage display at the 2007 Philly Auto Show is a special exhibit that will showcase some of the most prestigious cars from years past. Examples include a 1966 Chrysler 300 Convertible, 1931 duPont Model H Dual Cowl and 1933 Auburn V-12 Salon Brougham.

Body2Body Competition

The first-ever Body2Body Competition, sponsored by Toyota, will kick off at the Philly Auto Show on Tuesday, February 6 at 3:30 p.m. At that time, eighteen contestants, divided into three teams of six, will make physical contact with one of three Toyota vehicles on display. They will then need to maintain contact with their respective vehicle, without letting go, until the competition is completed on Friday, February 9 at 6:00 p.m. If any contestant loses contact with his or her vehicle outside of their break time, he or she will be eliminated from the competition. Fifteen-minute breaks will be given every three hours. The last contestant holding onto his or her respective vehicle will win it. Contestant recruitment and screening for the event is being handled by WMMR, a media sponsor of the Body2Body Competition.

Mazda will also give away a vehicle on-site at the 2007 Philadelphia International Auto Show. On February 10, company executives and area dealers will award one local individual a brand new Mazda CX-7 via a drawing. They will also make a $10,000 donation to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia at this time.

Black Tie Tailgate Preview Charitable Gala

Area residents will dine on the delectable cuisine of world-renowned Wolfgang Puck Catering and dance to the tunes of Jellyroll at the show's Black Tie Tailgate Preview Gala on Friday, February 2. The event is at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Tickets to the Black Tie Tailgate are $175 per person and proceeds benefit The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia through the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation. Celebrity Appearances

Even celebrities stop by the Philly Auto Show. Celebrities that will be on-site to participate in Q&A sessions include: Jeff Garcia of the Philadelphia Eagles on February 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Jimmy Rollins of the Philadelphia Phillies on February 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and David Akers and Jon Runyan of the Philadelphia Eagles on February 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  The 2007 Philadelphia International Auto Show hours are:
   - Noon to 10 p.m. on weekdays
   - 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays
   - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4
   - 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11

  "E-tickets" prices are:
   - $10.00 for adults (ages 13 and older) valid any show day
   - $6.00 for children (age 7-12) valid any show day
   - Free for children six and under

  Box office admission is:
   - $12.00 for adults (ages 13 and older) on weekends
   - $10.00 for adults on weekdays
   - $6.00 for children (age 7-12) on weekends and weekdays
   - Free for children six and under
   - Senior citizens (age 62 and over) receive a special admission price of
     $6.00 on weekdays only.
