Experian Automotive Launches Industry's Only Spanish-Language Vehicle History Reports

Auto dealers can now offer English and Spanish AutoCheck(R) vehicle history reports to used vehicle shoppers

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Jan. 29 -- Experian Automotive, a division of global information solutions company Experian(R) , today announced that, as part of the new release of its AutoCheckMembers.com Web site, its dealer subscribers can now view and print AutoCheck vehicle history reports in Spanish. This new option, which comes at no additional charge to the dealer's existing AutoCheck service, marks the industry's only Spanish- language vehicle history report and offers the same detailed vehicle history information that has always been found in the AutoCheck report.

Hispanic Americans have emerged as a key influencer in the automotive industry. According to Experian Simmons Research Spring 2006 National Consumer Study, the number of Hispanic Americans that have purchased new or used cars or light trucks has increased by more than 100 percent over the past three years. By providing full, Spanish-language vehicle history reports to their customers, dealers can directly address the needs of a population that, in many regions, constitutes a considerable portion of the vehicle-buying public.

"AutoCheck has again delivered a feature that we need in our market to better service our customers," said Terrell McCombs, vice president, McCombs Enterprises. "It provides valued third-party vehicle history information in Spanish so our native Spanish speaking clients can better understand the history of the vehicle they are thinking of purchasing."

In addition to providing a Spanish version of the full vehicle history report, which includes key information on potential problems in the vehicle's history, Experian Automotive offers the AutoCheck Buyback Protection terms and conditions in Spanish. Here, Spanish-speaking used vehicle buyers can more easily understand and take advantage of the protection plan in which Experian Automotive will buy back a vehicle that is proven to have major title brands not found on its AutoCheck report, subject to the Buyback Protection terms and conditions.

"Spanish-speaking Americans make up an important and growing segment of our clients' customer base," said Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive. "Giving our clients the ability to offer their customers AutoCheck vehicle history reports in their native language provides a necessary layer of service and buyer confidence that has a direct impact to our clients' bottom line."

AutoCheck enables car dealers and commercial users to quickly access the history of any used vehicle by revealing possible undisclosed or unknown problems that can affect an automobile's safety and resale value including major flood damage, frame damage, or odometer rollback issues, along with other key information.
