McKinney Hayride Sets Guinness World Record
MCKINNEY, Texas--A new record for the world’s largest hayride was set yesterday at Pat Lobb Toyota in McKinney.
Some 217 children and adults, sitting atop six daisy-chained flatbed trailers covered in hay, were easily towed by the 2007 Toyota Tundra, which features a 5.7 liter i-Force V8.
“The Tundra did its job in two-wheel drive,” said Pat Lobb, owner of the dealership. “The truck didn’t even require its four-wheel capacity.”
The record-breaking hayride was part of the five-day Pat Lobb Toyota Tailgate Party, which is introducing the Texas-built truck to potential buyers.
Guinness Book of World Records approved the hayride mission and will certify its success after reviewing materials documenting the event.
