Winnebago Itasca Travelers Club Hosts Week-Long Tailgate Party at Annual Grand National Rally

FOREST CITY, Iowa--Its the ultimate tailgate party at the 38th annual Winnebago-Itasca Travelers (WIT) Club Grand National Rally! Winnebago Industries, Inc. will welcome home approximately 1,450 Winnebago and Itasca owners to Forest City July 15-20 for a week-long celebration full of seminars, games, entertainment and camaraderie.

We look forward to the Grand National Rally every year, said Winnebago Industries Chairman of the Board and CEO Bruce Hertzke. The rally is the perfect opportunity for us to host our WIT club members, talk with them one-on-one and learn from them on their wants and needs for future motor homes. We welcome our owners home for a week full of festivities and fellowship in what will be the ultimate tailgate celebration.

Throughout the week, attendees will be dressed in their favorite sports team attire and will be treated to numerous seminars on motor home parts and accessories, entertainment and of course, competition, like the WIT rodeo and backseat driver competition. Always a favorite, the WIT Rodeo challenges even the most experienced motor home drivers. Those entering are put to the test on a six stage obstacle course with, what else, a Winnebago Industries motor home.

The backseat driver competition is a true test of communication between the sexes. In this competition, a man or woman drives a motor home in reverse through an obstacle course while blindfolded as their partner tries to direct him or her using only voice commands. Other notable events include a pet parade, womens driving school, karaoke showcase and tours of Winnebago Industries manufacturing facilities.
