Five Chery Car Models Debut in Beijing

SHANGHAI - September 10, 2007:

Chery Automobile, China's largest home-grown automaker, debuted five new car models in Beijing last Saturday.

These models include A5, Oriental Son, QQ3 and Cowin. Under A5 series, there are A518 Manual Transmission (1.8 L engine); A520 Automatic Transmission (2.0 L engine); under QQ3 series, there is QQ311 Automatic Transmission (1.1 L engine) and QQ311 standard. There is also an Oriental Son with 2.0 L engine, automatic transmission.

With the debut of A518, Chery A5 now boasts an entire portfolio of 1.6 L, 1.8 L and 2.0 L models. The debut of A520 has effectively ended the history that Chery has no automatic transmission vehicles in A5 lineups.

The debut of Oriental Son 2.0 Automatic Transmission shows that Chery’s automatic transmission technology is maturing. Meanwhile, the improvements with Oriental Son indicate that the model has made a major step toward a commercial vehicle model.
