Leading Rotating Electrics Manufacturer Relocating to Pendleton, Indiana

PENDLETON, Ind., April 29 -- Remy International, Inc. announced that its global headquarters and United States Technical Center has relocated to a new location in Pendleton, Indiana. Pendleton is located 35 miles northeast of Indianapolis, just a few miles from Remy's previous headquarters in Anderson, Indiana. Remy had been at its previous location since the company spun off from General Motors in 1994.

The move occurred in February 2008 and company executives explain that the relocation is an opportunity for reduced operating costs, increased productivity and provides a new showcase for the growing company. "We are looking at this move as a fresh start and new beginning for Remy," said John Weber, CEO of Remy International. "The new building allows room for growth, and, we were able to relocate employees into logical work groups that facilitate more interaction and teamwork. Plus, because of the proximity to our old headquarters, there was no disruption to our customers and our employees which was absolutely crucial to a successful move. We were lucky to find a great facility so close by," Weber added.

The new corporate address is 600 Corporation Drive, Pendleton, Indiana 46064.
