LAS VEGAS, NV - October 18, 2008: From politicians to budget conscious fleet operators, there's a new buzz around natural gas for transportation. Natural Gas Vehicle Institute (NGVi) and Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (AFVi) launch a four part webinar series on the fuel, designed to separate fact from fiction and provide a roadmap for fleets interested in natural gas. The webinars, presented by NGVi Executive Director, Leo Thomason, are designed for those who have pondered the cost and air quality benefits, but just need more information to take that next step. The webinars include an introductory tutorial, vehicle conversions, fueling infrastructure, and federal credits and incentives.

"We've seen fleets clamoring for this information since oil reached $148 a barrel this summer," said Thomason. "Even though prices are going down, fleet managers understand the fluctuations and are enticed by the comparative cost savings of natural gas." Thomason brings more than twenty years of experience training fleets about natural gas, to this four part series. The webinars include:

November 12

December 2
