Intelligent Mechatronic Systems' iLane Named 2009 Andrew Seybold Choice Awards Finalist

iLane One of Three Finalists in the "Most Innovative Mobile Device" Category

WATERLOO, ON, March 10 -- Intelligent Mechatronic Systems' (IMS) iLane, the first in-car device that interacts directly with your smartphone and lets you manage your inbox hands-free using simple voice commands, has been chosen as a finalist for the 2009 Andrew Seybold Choice Awards in the category, "Most Innovative Mobile Device".

The Andrew Seybold Choice Awards are a prestigious set of awards that honour the most ground-breaking technologies, devices, services and applications in the wireless industry. The "Most Innovative Mobile Device" award recognizes innovative wireless products which have made a powerful impact on the wireless mobility marketplace and the world of connectivity. Finalists were chosen from a global list of cutting edge technology companies and were based on their level of innovation, benefits to marketplace, functionality, features, pricing and usability. Previous winners of the coveted "Most Innovative Mobile Device" award include mobile product powerhouse Research in Motion for its Blackberry(R) Pearl(TM).

iLane, a portable smartphone-compatible device that rides inside commuters' vehicles, gives drivers the ability to control their smartphones entirely hands-free. iLane reads e-mails to the user out loud, on command, and it allows for access and control of other smartphone applications by voice command, including managing phone calls, SMS messages and calendars. iLane also provides on-demand access to compelling news and weather content from The Associated Press and The Weather Network.

"We're thrilled about being a finalist for this very prestigious award," said Tony Cassetta, COO, IMS. "It's a testament to the technology and vision behind iLane, and gives us the opportunity to showcase IMS' commitment to developing best-in-class technologies that make vehicles both safer and smarter. We believe, as legislation governing the use of wireless devices in vehicles continues to gain momentum across North America, the market for hands-free solutions such as iLane is going to be very strong."

The Andrew Seybold Choice Awards will be announced at the 19th Annual Andrew Seybold Wireless Dinner at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 1, 2009, during CTIA Wireless 2009. For more information visit http://www.andrewseybold.com/ChoiceAwards.asp.
