PHI to Showcase Energy Conservation Initiatives at Capitol Hill Event

WASHINGTON--Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI) will participate in the April 21st Senate Energy and Environment Showcase from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Senate Park, First St., N.E., and Delaware Ave., N.E.

PHI will exhibit examples of the energy-saving technologies that reduce the environmental footprint of Pepco, Delmarva Power and Atlantic City Electric that provide regulated electric service to about 1.9 million customers in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland and New Jersey and natural gas service to customers in Wilmington, Delaware, and of Pepco Energy Services and Conectiv Energy, which provide retail green energy products and services and competitive wholesale generation services, respectively.

The PHI display will include an “eco” hybrid bucket truck, a key component in PHI's “green fleet” transformation initiative, staffed by an experienced operator ready to answer visitors' questions, and a hydrogen fuel cell, a result of PHI's partnership with Microcell Corp.,* accompanied by a Microcell representative. Also on display will be information on PHI's Smart Grid programs and proposals that help customers use less energy and lower their bills while improving electric system reliability.

Pepco Energy Services, PHI's Rosslyn, Virginia–based supplier of “green” electricity and energy management services to government, commercial, industrial and educational clients, will showcase their recent solar design and installation and examples of completed energy-savings projects.
