DETAILS: -- Enthusiast Avenue, a collection of Detroit area businesses offering auto enthusiasts demonstrations and discounts on automotive parts, products, services, entertainment and more. On the Avenue Aug. 6: -- American Hot Rod Racer of Sterling Heights - Build It! Race It!, custom car design, assembly, customizing and racing for boys and girls of all ages. -- Auto Appraise, Inc. of Grand Blanc - complete automobile appraisal, inspection and claims services. -- Booth Arons Racing Enterprises, Inc. of Berkley - performance engine parts, machining and assembly. -- Detroit Performance Center of Clinton Twp. - performance parts for Detroit Three products. -- Kart2Kart of Sterling Heights - state-of-the-art indoor go-karting for private celebrations and corporate outings, open to the public. -- Miller Special Tools of Warren - long-time Chrysler Group LLC-approved special service tool supplier, carrying tools specifically designed to repair and restore popular HEMI engines and Jeep axles. -- PowderPro, LLC of Troy - powder coating and general metal restoration, welding and fabrication, stripping and sandblasting. -- Shelby Trim of Sterling Heights - auto upholstery and convertible tops. -- Waterford Hills Road Racing of Clarkston - the area's only road course since 1958 - a two lane, 1.5 mile paved track. -- Other Cruise Night highlights: -- After hours viewing of the Museum's Fancy Cruisers special exhibit, featuring two popular concept vehicles: the cargovan-like PT Panel Cruiser truck introduced in 2000 and the "surf wagon" PT California Cruiser unveiled in 2002. -- Awards for Best Body/Paint, Best Under the Hood, Best Unrestored and Museum's Choice. -- Food, music and a current Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicle display. -- Guest donations are welcome and after hours Museum admission is reduced to $1 for children and $2 for adults (regularly $4 and $8, respectively).
