BEIJING. Aug. 12, 2009; Himfr.com, one of China's leading B2B search platforms with more than 30 B2B industry websites to its name, compares Mercedes-Bens SLK289 with the Audi TTR.

Both positioned as entry-level sport cars, Himfr's analyst compares these top vehicles in all aspects, including the outlook, performance, as well as pricing.

The dual-seated Mercedes-Benz SLK 280 is 4m long with an engine compartment taking up almost half of cabin, which appears slightly disproportionate while also giving it a thick sport atmosphere. The low height of less than 1.3m effectively reduces air resistance to ensure a higher speed performance.

Audi TTR features a completely different style which reflects the two company's different philosophies in sports. With a more coordinated outline that matches with the Audi R8, which also uses triangular headlights instead of LED lights, the Audi TTR is also cool and stylish in a different way. Compared with SLK, TTR is covered with curved lines which make it looks mellower.

The SLK 280 adopts a bicyclol design for its dashboard which gives a dynamic handling feel. With the tachometer on the right and speedometer on the left, the design of the main dashboard in no doubt enhances driving pleasure. TTR's dashboard is more conservative by inheriting both shape and structure from other Audi models. With tachometer on the left and speedometer on the right, the design offer less handling pleasure of a sports car than expected.

Both SLK 280 and TTR adopted a dual-seat layout and feature seat tube support shoulders, with SLK 280 furnished with single-colour leather materials and well-fitted cushions that offer maximum comfort for both the driver and passenger. The barrel racing car seat of the TTR is more professional, made from leather and advanced resin materials in a red and black combination which looks very dynamic. However the solid material is much less comfortable especially after a long drive.
