Honda Sponsorship Announcement - Media Call

TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – October 5, 2009: Honda Australia and TL Sports will announce the launch of the inaugural 2009 Honda Hybrid Women’s Tour, to be held in conjunction with the 2009 Jayco Herald Sun Tour, Australia’s oldest cycling road race.

The Honda Hybrid Women’s Tour is part of the national women’s championship series and in its inaugural year, will be the major female cycling road race in Australia.

The race will feature world-class riders such as Rochelle Gilmore, who finished 2nd at the World Cup in Nurnberg, Germany and represented Australia in the World Cycling Championships in Switzerland as well as teams from around Australia.

Honda will also announce its appointment as the official vehicle supplier for the 2009 men’s Jayco Herald Sun Tour.
