MELBOURNE – May 4, 2010: Australia’s most influential Automotive Industry magazine, Australian Automotive, has confirmed that Hyde Media has been appointed its sole national advertising representative.

“Australia needs a national Automotive Industry Magazine and with a CAB-audited circulation of 32,413, and penetration into all automotive sectors across the country, Australian Automotive is the most important title in the marketplace, bar none,” Hyde Media principal, Max Hyde, said.

Published by the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC), Australian Automotive boasts writers, editors, publishers, photographers and illustrators with vast experience in business and motoring journalism across Australia’s major newspapers and magazines, websites, books, trade magazines and industry journals.

Content includes comprehensive coverage of the Australian Automotive Industry with news, analysis, exclusive stories, interviews with key automotive decision-makers, technical information, product reviews and all the important business information that today’s Australian Automotive repair, sales and retail businesses require.

“Australian Automotive’s strength is its influence: the Magazine is distributed to almost every automotive business in Australia. But not only that, the Magazine is read by politicians, governments and independent organisations such as ANCAP, EPA, Police and other important decision-makers. Put simply, it is Australia’s most respected, widely read Automotive Industry Magazine,” Australian Automotive editor, David Dowsey, said.

“We are proud of the reputation that Australian Automotive has gained within Australia’s Automotive Industry. And now with the strength of Hyde Media behind it we expect its influence to grow further,” VACC Executive Director, David Purchase, said.

Hyde Media began operation in 2002 and now represents 14 specialist industry magazines, with a staff of seven.

Prior to starting Hyde Media, Max Hyde held the roles of Publisher of Syme Magazines, which included Motor, Auto Action, Australian Motorcycle News and 4X4 Australia, and then Associate Publisher Sales and Marketing at ACP of a group of titles, which included Wheels and Street Machine.
