PARIS – May 10, 2010: One of the UK’s largest facility management companies, ISS, has struck a deal with Renault which means the manufacturer will now be supplying a slice of its fleet needs.

ISS was started in 1901 and since then has seen exceptional growth, making it now the 4th largest private employer in Europe and the 5th largest in the world with over 500,000 staff. The services provided by ISS cover a huge range of client requirements, from cleaning, catering and landscaping to mechanical and electrical services, security, reception services and facility services management.

The first Renault deliveries to ISS staff go out this week and are for the Mégane Coupé and New Kangoo Van. Vehicles will be used by ISS staff to deliver the range of business needs, while supervisory staff and management grades now have the option of choosing from the Clio, Mégane and Laguna ranges.

Nigel Rowden, ISS UK Group Fleet Manager, said: “ISS already has an existing pan-European deal with Renault, across seven countries. We naturally compare manufacturers carefully against a number of criteria such as running costs, safety, style and performance, so Renault ticked all the boxes. Running a UK fleet of over 2,000 vehicles across all our divisions, running costs and environmental impact are absolutely key drivers when it comes to choosing our cars and vans. Renault provides great fuel economy and also has a good, young mix of vehicles such as the New Master, Kangoo, Laguna, Mégane and Clio, all with low CO2 figures.”

Darren Payne, Director of Fleet and Commercial Operations at Renault UK, said: “The growth and expansion of ISS in recent years has been nothing short of spectacular, so we’re delighted to be assisting them in their fleet needs and addressing their environmental responsibilities with the latest cars and vans from our range.”
