SYDNEY – June 14, 2010: Hyundai Motor Company’s all-new Hyundai i45 has been awarded the first-ever President’s Award by North American automotive consulting firm AutoPacific.

AutoPacific researched satisfaction ratings collected from 975 drivers of the all-new i45 over 48 separate categories ranging from the basics of comfort and convenience, to performance and environmental friendliness.

The results were outstanding, with i45 receiving magnificent reviews and much praise from the group, exceeding the expectations of AutoPacific, and setting new benchmarks for customer satisfaction.

With a final score of 775 from a possible 1000, the i45’s unique styling was rated as close to perfect and was a key influence in its overall superior performance and owner approval rating. The score of 775 has never before been achieved in any product category in the history of the AutoPacific survey, prompting the organisation to create the award in recognition of this outstanding achievement.

“Consumer response to the all-new i45 in North America demonstrates the strong appeal of Hyundai’s recipe of bold design and outstanding quality married to excellent performance and efficiency,” said Oliver Mann, Hyundai Motor Company Australia’s Marketing Director. “Having only launched in June, we are looking forward to a successful future for i45 in Australia.”

Hyundai’s all-new i45 represents a modern approach to the traditional mid-size sedan segment by using only advanced four-cylinder engines, emotional design and luxury features combined with Hyundai’s strong value proposition. A polished performance is delivered by the new 2.4-litre Theta II direct injection petrol engine, designed to achieve impressive fuel efficiency, lower emissions and minimum operating costs resulting in an across-the-board performance increase.
