MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – July 27, 2010: Cirrus Communications Systems Ltd, donated £1,500 to Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes, the car manufacturer’s charity of choice as a thank you for the exemplary service it received from Škoda UK’s customer service team.

Cirrus provides telecare, life safety, communication and security systems and manages a national fleet of service engineers who handle installation and maintenance services predominantly for housing associations, local authorities and retirement property management companies. The company has a long standing relationship with Škoda, having bought a number of models from the brand, including the popular Octavia Estate, over the past five years for its engineers.

Paul Allis, Regional Sales Manager for Cirrus’ Southern region, said: “Over the past few months in particular, the customer service we have received from Škoda has been second to none and the manufacturer really has outdone itself to ensure that our fleet needs have been met.

“To show our gratitude to the team, we wanted to give something back to the community and they suggested we make a donation to Škoda’s preferred charity, the Willen Hospice.”

Rob Morris, Škoda Fleet Sales Manager, London and the South East, added: “Getting feedback from our clients that they are extremely happy with the service we are providing is great and empowers the team to keep up the good work. When asked how they can show that support we thought what better way than to make a donation to our local and very deserving charity, Willen Hospice.”

Willen Hospice is a registered charity based in Milton Keynes, which provides specialist care and support for those with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Every year, 75 per cent of the hospice’s funds need to be raised through donations and charity fundraising, which equates to £3m per year.

Julia Rogerson, Events and Promotions Manager at Willen Hospice, said: “Our thanks go to Cirrus and Škoda for this much-needed support. We rely so heavily on donations from companies and individuals and in this tough economic climate it is harder than ever, so we are truly grateful.”
