BRENTWOOD, UNITED KINGDOM – Aug 6, 2010: Ford introduced a ‘new’ Hill to this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed as it showcased star cars and drivers.

Josh Hill – son of former F1 World Champion Damon and grandson of twice-World Champion Graham – drove the Goodwood hillclimb in the latest RS road car, the 350 PS Ford Focus RS500. For much of the crowd this was the first chance to see the limited-edition RS.

The 19-year old, currently competing in Formula Ford with Jamun Racing, had his first taste of Goodwood alongside some more experienced Ford motorsport names – he was joined by Touring Car Championship racers past and present, Paul Radisich and Tom Chilton.

Race winning Tom Chilton took time out from chasing the 2010 British Touring Car Championship title in his Team Aon Ford Focus ST to sample both the Ford Focus RS500 and Ford history in the shape of FEV 1H – the original, 1970 London-Mexico winning Ford Escort Mk1rally car, driven to victory 40 years ago by Hannu Mikkola. Tom Chilton said: “Goodwood is a very special event and it was a privilege to drive two iconic Ford cars up the hill.”

Paul Radisich, one of the world’s most acclaimed Touring Car drivers and double FIA World Touring Car Cup Champion, drove the Ford Focus RS 500, thrilling spectators and passengers alike. Paul has returned to the UK from his native New Zealand, which may explain why he was grabbed so enthusiastically for his live interview on the Goodwood screens by fellow Kiwi, Bruce Jones.
