Huh?

SEE ALSO: Big Oil Benefits From "Divide and Conquer"

But First Snide’s Remarks I believe that many alt energy solutions negate THE solution; each supported alternative fuel fragments the "get off of gasoline now" will of our citizens and turns those Alt Fuel communities against each other.

Today’s “many solution” rhetoric reduces attention, funding and public support for E85 the immediate drop-in replacement for gasoline, meanwhile American drivers are forced to continue to fill up their fuel tanks with Big Oils smack, American’s may complain about cost and but seem to have bought the "No Silver Bullet" propaganda and docilely stay resigned to their plight, because like a junkie, they still enjoy highs without a realistic concern or outcry for the lows that they must know will surely come.

Research shows that despite of all of today’s alt fuel investments, inventions, sycophantic media blah –bla and EV fairy-tales, the U.S.is projected to reduce gasoline use levels only 20% in 20 years. If this is not proof of a successful divide and conquer campaign by big oil, what is?

Our nation’s malaise is supported by a lack of intelligence and this very successful propaganda machine paid for and delivered by those in commerce and government whose goal is to seemingly maintain Oils monopoly for the next century. I don’t know about you, but I’m pissed as hell, shouldn’t you be also? msnide@theautochannel.com

WASHINGTON January 25, 2011; When considering how to advance the nation's environmental and energy goals, the Association of Global Automakers (Global Automakers) believes that good public policy should encourage all promising advanced technologies and alternative fuels.

"To encourage wider deployment of green technologies, including innovations that our members have on display at the Washington Auto Show this week, the government should not pick winners and losers but let the marketplace decide," said Global Automakers' President and CEO Michael J. Stanton, whose Association represents 15 international automobile manufacturers.

Global Automakers' members have long led the industry in the development and deployment of green technologies. These companies brought the first hybrids to American consumers in 1999 and today account for 82 percent of the U.S. hybrid market. The Washington Auto Show, which begins Wednesday, will showcase the latest green innovations automakers have developed.

"Hybrids are just one of the many technologies our members are aggressively pursuing to reduce CO2 emissions in order to protect the environment and lessen our nation's reliance on fossil fuels," said Stanton. "From fuel cells, to plug-in hybrids and pure electric, the vehicles on display this week are the result of millions of R&D dollars that our members continue to invest to reduce the environmental footprint of their vehicles and to meet or exceed government regulations."

The Association of Global Automakers, formerly known as the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers (AIAM), represents international motor vehicle manufacturers, original equipment suppliers, and other automotive-related trade associations. Our members' market share of both U.S. sales and production is 40 percent and growing. We work with industry leaders, legislators, regulators, and other stakeholders in the United States to create public policy that improves motor vehicle safety, encourages technological innovation and protects our planet. Our goal is to foster an open and competitive automotive marketplace that encourages investment, job growth, and development of vehicles that can enhance Americans' quality of life.
