David Coulthard MBE Opens the Scottish Caravan & Outdoor Leisure Show 2011

EAST GRINSTEAD, UNITED KINGDOM – February 4, 2011: The Caravan Club was delighted to welcome Caravan Club member, David Coulthard MBE, former Formula One driver and television presenter, to officially open The Scottish Caravan & Outdoor Leisure Show this morning, 3rd February 2011.

David took the opportunity to show off his motorcaravan manoeuvering skills to assembled crowds earlier today and spoke of his love of caravanning, he said, “Motorhomes have been an integral part of my life in Formula One, a home from home whether I am in the UK, Monaco or anywhere in the world. I have had the pleasure to stay in many different makes and models, some of which are the height of luxury! I used to have my own for holidaying too, the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of F1, and slip away to a peaceful spot in the countryside. Whatever your hobbies, interests or passions caravanning is a great way to pursue them.”

The show, Scotland’s only dedicated event for caravanners and those who love the outdoor life, is taking place at the SECC, Glasgow, from today until 6 February 2011. This year’s show is a one stop shop providing products and services from over 150 companies. Visitors will be able to get up close and personal to the latest 2011 models from all major caravan and motor caravan manufacturers.
