Edwin Black's THE PLAN

The only reason we in America or Europe care is the oil issues. Shockingly, as investigative author Edwin Black pointed out in his 2008 book "The Plan," in which he examined just what would happen if there was some kind of major interruption in the supply of oil from the Middle East oil countries, we don't have a plan. To put it in two words: we're screwed.

If Obama and Congress did something to ease restrictions on gasoline engine conversions to CNG and propane we could have already been on our way to making tens of millions of existing on-the-road vehicles impervious to a petroleum oil shortage. Or if el presidente and the jokers in the House and Senate cut the crap with their BS objections to ethanol, then owners of all exisitng modern gasoline-powered cars and trucks would be primed to switch over to ethanol, which would also make their vehicles impervious to any disruption in oil availability.

But no, the politicians had to continue accepting illicit money from the oil industry - in order to enrich themselves - so if something does happen ... something even worse than just rising gasoline prices, terrorism, and financial depression, we are totally and completely screwed.

It's time to wake up America (and Europe) and open our eyes. We have been enslaved and manipulated by the oil and gasoline industry long enough. It's time for our own revolution, an energy revolution. It's time to use our domestic resources to cripple OPEC and move away from gasoline. Electric vehicles won't help us; they won't be a significant solution to gasoline for decades.

Ethanol, CNG and propane are good, cheaper, less environmentally harmful than gasoline and they are in abundant domestic supply. They work great in cars and trucks and they do not damage engines, nor will they take food out of the mouths of people in starving countries. All the negatives you've ever heard about ethanol, CNG and propane are lies; lies invented by the oil and gasoline industry and the people they pay off.

WAKE THE HELL UP.
