MIAMI, March 9, 2011 -- The 2011 Continental Tire Dream Giveaway, a fundraising event sponsored by WorldCause Foundation, kicked off on March 1, 2011, providing an opportunity for people to help seriously ill children while also entering to win a one-of-a-kind 2011 Hurley Haywood Edition Porsche GT3 and a 2011 Porsche Cayenne S. Hybrid, thanks to Continental Tire and GRAND-AM.

The 2011 Hurley Haywood Edition Porsche GT3 was named after Motorsports Hall of Famer and GRAND-AM Racing legend Hurley Haywood, who is also the chief driving instructor for Porsche of America and a member of the Brumos Racing team. The GT3 bears several unique Hurley Haywood-inspired modifications and is the fastest, most powerful 911 GT3 to date. The Hurley Haywood Edition Porsche GT3 offers a 3.8 liter six-cylinder boxer engine and has the ability to accelerate to 60 mph in just four seconds. This spectacular car is the only Hurley Haywood GT3 in existence.

And keys aren't the only thing the lucky winner will receive from Hurley Haywood; as the winningest driver in the history of the Rolex 24 At Daytona, Haywood has agreed to teach the Continental Tire Dream Giveaway winner how to make the most out of the amazing performance car.

The matching 2011 Porsche Cayenne S. Hybrid, a beautiful SUV, averages 21 MPG in city driving and 25 MPG on the highway. The Porsche Cayenne S. Hybrid can go from zero to 60 in 6.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 150 mph.  Both vehicles will come completely outfitted with a brand-new set of top-of-the-line Continental Tires.

Continental Tire, working with GRAND-AM and Dream Giveaways, is the creator of the Continental Tire Dream Giveaway. The program was developed to benefit charities such as WorldCause Foundation and Camp Boggy Creek, the official charity of GRAND-AM.

WorldCause Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing help to those in abject poverty with a special emphasis on easing the suffering of children, provides funding to select tax-exempt non-profit organizations. They have selected Camp Boggy Creek, which is Haywood's favorite cause, to receive a portion of the proceeds from the 2011 Continental Tire Dream Giveaway. Camp Boggy Creek, a Hole In The Wall camp that was co-founded by actor and philanthropist Paul Newman and General H. Norman Schwarzkoph, is a year-round medical camp for children age seven through 16 who are suffering from chronic or life-threatening illnesses.

The mission of Camp Boggy Creek is to enrich the lives of ill children by creating camping experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound. Camp Boggy Creek is a proud member of The Association of Hole In The Wall Camps. To learn more about Hole In The Wall Camps, visit Hole In The Wall Camps. GRAND-AM fans will be given several opportunities to take part in The Continental Tire Dream Giveaway, including chances to double their entries at GRAND-AM race events and at any participating Continental Tire retailers around the country.

The Continental Tire Dream Giveaway, which was made possible by the generous support from Continental Tire and GRAND-AM Road Racing, will continue through October 15, 2011.  The official winner will be announced on or around October 24, 2011. The Continental Tire Dream Giveaway is just one aspect of the exciting partnership between GRAND-AM and Continental.  Continental Tire is also the official tire and exclusive supplier of all tires at the Rolex Sports Car Series and the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series.
