Ford CEO Alan Mulally Received the Helping Hand Award at Last Night's Steve Harvey Foundation Gala Along With Playwright Tyler Perry

WHAT:

The Steve Harvey Foundation has selected Ford Motor Company's President & CEO Alan Mulally to receive the "Helping Hand Award" at the 2011 Steve Harvey Foundation Gala.



The "Helping Hand Award" is given to those who extend their hands on a continual basis to ensure that at the end of their time they have done their fair share to help their fellow man.  Past award recipients include, Geoffrey Canada (President and CEO of the Harlem Children's Zone), Pamela El (Vice President of Marketing at State Farm), and actor/director Denzel Washington.  Proceeds from the event will specifically support the Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend for Young Men which takes place in Dallas this Father's Day Weekend.



"It's an honor to present Helping Hand Awards to Tyler Perry, Alan Mulally, and Chris and Malaak Rock this year," says Steve Harvey.
