Additional information:
Chrysler Group is the only automotive manufacturer with more than one manufacturing facility in the city of Detroit. The nearly 3-million-square-foot Jefferson North assembly plant, located in Detroit, has been the site of Jeep Grand Cherokee production since its introduction in 1992 and launched production of the all-new 2011 Dodge Durango in December 2010. President Obama visited the plant in July 2010, more than a year after a new company emerged from bankruptcy.
