SP Announces 5 New Member Companies That Include: Albemarle Corporation, BAE Industries, EDSS, GDC Inc. and Haley & Aldrich

WASHINGTON--May 17, 2011: The Suppliers Partnership for the Environment (SP) today announced that five companies have joined the organization: Albemarle Corporation, BAE Industries, Inc., Energy Design Service System, Inc. (EDSS), GDC Inc. and Haley & Aldrich, Inc.

SP is an innovative collaboration of leading automobile original equipment manufacturers and their suppliers and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  SP Work Groups address issues that improve the environment while providing value throughout the automobile supply chain.  SP provides a forum for small, mid-sized and large automotive and vehicle suppliers to work together, learn from each other, and share technologies and environmental best practices.

SP Chair Randy Leslie, Vice President and General Manager, Johnson Controls, Inc., Automotive Experience, stated, "The Suppliers Partnership is pleased to welcome these new automotive suppliers into our organization. We look forward to working with these new members as we identify new and more environmentally efficient and creative ways to enhance the viability, competitiveness and sustainability of the automobile industry within the supply chain."

The new member companies' representative to the SP Board of Directors will be:
