FYI: Toyota Buyer's Guide

TORRANCE, CA--September 22, 2011: Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. along with FILTER Creative Group are taking Prius v on an experiential tour across the U.S. The largest member of the Prius Family, the Prius v arrives in dealerships this fall. Leading up to the vehicle's arrival, the "Prius v Creation Station Tour" will be stopping at select festivals, including Eat Real and Life is Good, with many more destinations along the way.

During the Prius v Creation Station tour, families and potential owners will have the opportunity to see for themselves what the "v" in Prius v is all about -- versatility.

From the Prius v Cargo Challenge to the kids' button-making station, the tour is set to feature unique activities for children and parents. The experiential activations showcase the Prius v's roominess, fuel efficiency, sustainability and the all-new Entune multimedia system, winner of CNET's "Best of CES" and Popular Mechanics Editor's Choice awards.

The nationwide tour will begin on Sept. 23, with stops at Eat Real in Oakland, Calif. and Life is Good in Boston, and will roll on through December 2011. Event attendees can participate in the Prius v Creation Station activities featuring products from local companies. While at the Prius v Creation Station tour stops, guests can pick up entry forms for a chance to win a brand new Toyota Prius in The Prius Goes Plural Sweepstakes.

The Prius v Creation Station Experience

  • The Prius v Cargo Challenge showcases the expanded cargo room of the new Prius v, 58% larger than the 3rd gen Prius. Festival attendees can prove their awesome packing skills by picking their cargo of choice -- Pool Party and Road Trip -- to see how fast they can fill the trunk.
  • Prius v will come equipped with Entune, Toyota's award winning all-new multimedia system. Product specialists will be on hand to show guests how the system works. The system boasts a fully featured entertainment and communication system, which includes XM radio, HD Radio, CD player, USB connectivity, Bluetooth® streaming and phonebook, as well as popular mobile applications Bing, iHeartRadio, MovieTickets.com, OpenTable.com and Pandora.
  • Prius Family Gaming: The Prius Disc-Oh-Game and the Prius Prize Wheel add an element of competition to the Creation Station. Guests can drop game chips down the Prius game board or spin the Prius Prize Wheel for a chance at winning prizes.

Even More For the Families

While participating in the Prius v Creation Station, guests can create Shrinky Dink® Prius v collectibles, customize buttons with the Busy Beaver Buttoneers, tap into their inner artist with color-on T-shirts from local sustainable companies and have photos taken in the Prius photo booth. Both kids and parents can also take home recycled, colorable lunch bags; recycled wood yo-yos and bamboo utensils; and temporary tattoos.
