FOREST CITY, NC--Oct. 28, 2011: Whittington Auction & Appraisal [www.whittingtonauction.com] announces the absolute auction of over 100 salvage Corvettes in Forest City, NC, on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 10am, according to Dick Whittington, auctioneer.

"Charlie Brown is devoting his time and efforts to other business ventures and has commissioned us to sell over 100 salvage Corvettes at absolute auction," explained Whittington. "That means that these salvage Corvettes and parts will sell to the highest bidder."

The year models on these Corvettes are 1968 to 1990 and have been stored in a dry warehouse. All cars will be sold on bill of sale only, not titles will be transferred. All cars were inspected by the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles prior to this sale. Most were insurance salvage. The auction will be conducted on-site at 610 Old Caroleen Road in Forest City. Preview will be on-site from 1pm to 5pm on Friday, November 4, 2011.

"There are plenty of good frames, birdcages, some trailing arms, calipers and differentials here," noted Whittington. "A few of the cars still retain complete running gears. We will have a local vendor on-site with a forklift to assist buyers with loading if needed."

The second half of this Corvette auction will be a two-day sale on November 18 and 19, 2011, at 190 Industrial Park Boulevard in Columbus, NC. This will include thousands of used original Corvette parts.

"All these parts are cleaned and properly identified," said Whittington. "We have parts from year models 1956 to 1990, all used or reconditioned. Many more parts here than can be cataloged."

Prospective bidders may preview the parts from 1pm until 5pm on Thursday, November 17, 2011 These auctions are open to the public. For more information, visit Whittington Auction or call 336.838.8243
