The Vehicle Production Group (VPG) Earns Member Manufacturer Status with the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL--May 3, 2012: Florida-based Vehicle Production Group LLC (VPG), which produces the only OEM factory-built wheelchair-accessible automobile in the U.S., is now an official member manufacturer of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association, or NMEDA, a non-profit trade association of mobility equipment dealers, manufacturers, driver rehabilitation specialists and related professionals.

VPG is the first NMEDA Member Manufacturer that produces a purpose-built, wheelchair accessible vehicle. Previously, designated NMEDA Member Manufacturers produced products that were converted in the aftermarket for the purpose of allowing the user of a wheelchair to drive or access a vehicle, securing the individual and mobility device loading and/or unloading a mobility device, or adding other secondary accessories to increase the function or access for an individual utilizing a mobility aid.
