Vehicle Production Group Names Steve Barker as Executive Vice President

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL--May 18, 2012: Today, Vehicle Production Group, LLC (VPG), announces the appointment of Steve Barker as Executive Vice President, Commercial & Retail Sales.  VPG produces the only factory-built, wheelchair-accessible automotive in the world for consumer, livery and taxi use, at their plant in Mishawaka, IL.

As Executive Vice President, Barker will be responsible for all the commercial and retail sales of VPG's MV-1 vehicle. He will be based in VPG's South Florida office.

Barker has over 25 years of experience in Transportation, including the Heavy Duty Trucking, School Bus, Commercial Bus and Mobility markets, and has served as an advisor to numerous national and state committees focused on these industries. For the past 11 years, he served as the Southeast Regional Sales Manager and OEM Business Development Manager for Sure-Lok, Inc., a leader in the wheelchair securement industry.
