NOVI, MI--May 29, 2012: Jungo Ltd., a leading provider of automotive connectivity middleware, today announced an agreement with Gracenote to deliver a powerful automotive infotainment solution that will improve how drivers access, navigate and experience their music. The joint solution is being demonstrated at the Telematics Update exhibition next week in Novi, Michigan.

“Both Jungo and Gracenote have worked together extensively on this offering to ensure that the technologies are integrated as seamlessly as possible, and that together we bring a solution to market that is best-in-class”

The solution combines MediaCore, Jungo's automotive middleware, with Gracenote's licensed Album Cover Art, Playlist Plus and More Like This technologies, which leverage Gracenote's extensive Global Media Database of music information. The Gracenote database includes Album Cover Art from the major record labels and independents, as well as artist images from leading content providers.

In addition, Gracenote Playlist Plus helps organize song metadata from a driver's music collection and associates specific music Type, Genres (e.g. Classical, Indie Rock, Punk and Ska), Origin (e.g. U.S. -- New York, England -- London) and Era (1970, 1980s) with the identified tracks in the drivers' music library. This lets drivers better manage and navigate their music and get more of the songs and artists they love through "More Like This" smart music playlists. The combination of these Gracenote technologies and music imagery enables Jungo's Tier 1 customers to deliver driver-friendly interfaces that make it easier to enjoy music on the open road.

The integrated offering improves time-to-market for sophisticated automotive infotainment systems and provides customers with industry-leading media playback functionality, while greatly enhancing the overall in-car entertainment experience.

MediaCore middleware from Jungo supports all popular media devices and protocols (including USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and DLNA) and integrates them with automotive infotainment systems. Its simplicity and versatility make it appealing to Tier 1 companies for car makers worldwide.

"Both Jungo and Gracenote have worked together extensively on this offering to ensure that the technologies are integrated as seamlessly as possible, and that together we bring a solution to market that is best-in-class," said Jungo Connectivity Software General Manager Ophir Herbst. "We have established a strong technical relationship and expect to work together on future industry-leading advancements in automotive infotainment."
