WESTLAKE, OH--July 27, 2012: TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters) has announced the acquisition and rebranding of the former Savoy Travel Center to the Petro Stopping Centers brand. Petro Deming is located at I-10, exit 68 (14150 Hwy. 418 SW), in Deming, New Mexico. The opening of this location raises the number of full-service travel centers in the TA and Petro Stopping Centers branded chain to 241.
Amenities at the new Petro include:
- 150 truck parking spaces on a spacious lot;
- 10 diesel lanes;
- Fully stocked 8,250-square-foot travel store;
- 135-seat full-serve, sit-down restaurant;
- TA Truck Service repair facility with three service bays;
- 9 showers;
- Emergency roadside service, available 24/7/365; and
- UltraONE® Rewards Program kiosk and swiping system.
A variety of additional features and comforts for professional drivers, including a driver's lounge, can be found at the Deming Petro location. There is also a separate gas island with six dispensers for motorists.

Last fall, Overdrive magazine conducted its annual "Voted Best" survey. The results showed that drivers prefer Petro and TA over the next closest truck stop brand 3:1 for the best overall truckstop category. Petro and TA dominated the survey in 26 other categories, including largest parking lots 3:1; best overall food 4:1; most comprehensive driver services 4:1; and best overall truck repair 4:1.
