Kia Announces Warranty Boost for Fleet Customers

SYDNEY – Sept 6, 2012: Kia’s fleet customers have received an early Christmas present with the news that the majority of fleet vehicles will be covered by a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty from September 1.

The extended warranty will apply to new fleet sales from September 1, with the exception of rental cars, taxis, hire cars, security patrol vehicles, bus operators, courier vehicles and driving school vehicles. Conditions for the excluded categories remain unchanged.

“We are excited about the opportunity to bring most of our fleet and lease customers into the Kia family on a level playing field with existing private purchasers,” Kia Motors Australia Chief Operating Officer, Tony Barlow, said.

“The availability of the five-year unlimited warranty will make owning a Kia even more attractive to the large segment of the market that goes down the fleet and leasing route. Not the least of the anticipated benefits is the additional value the car will retain when sold at the usual two or three year renewal mark.”

The extension of the fleet warranty is just the latest example of Kia’s determination to provide the best care-free customer experience, following on the five-year Kia Connect capped-price servicing program and the three-year free map upgrade for owners who purchase a Kia with satellite navigation.
