VPG CEO John Walsh Joined by Marc Buoniconti, Ernie Banks and Other NFL Notables To Reveal Newest Addition to Lineup

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL--Sept. 14, 2012: The Vehicle Production Group (VPG) unveiled its all-new 2013 luxury MV-1 model this week at Chicago's BusCon Expo to a crowd of more than 400 industry executives. The 2013 LX MV-1 model was wrapped in patriotic full-body decals to showcase the company's "Made in the USA" attributes, as well as its acclaimed wheelchair-accessible, compressed natural gas engine features.

"We are thrilled that the new luxury MV-1 model has received such a positive reception from the bus industry," said VPG CEO John Walsh. "Orders for our new model are already exceeding our expectations and we have been able to build our dealer network to ensure more Americans have access to quality wheelchair accessible vehicles wherever they live."

Walsh was joined by VPG Ambassador Marc Buoniconti, President of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and owner of the very first MV-1 ever manufactured.  A host of former Chicago Bears players, including "Mr. Cub" Ernie Banks, Allen Ellis, Calvin Thomas, Keith Van Horn and Charlie Brown, as well as Bulls cheerleaders, were on hand to help VPG celebrate the unveiling of the new luxury model.

Throughout the BusCon Expo, VPG held a sweepstakes where several hundred participants gave their business cards for a chance to win $1000.

VPG produces the MV-1, the only wheelchair-accessible vehicle built from the ground up, here in the United States, providing more than 900 jobs across the country.  The company hopes to expand its network to 150 dealers by the end of 2012.

About the Vehicle Production Group

Headquartered in South Florida, The Vehicle Production Group LLC (VPG) has a simple company mission: to help those with mobility issues find solutions by developing vehicles that allow them to travel with comfort and dignity. The American-built MV-1 was designed for just such a purpose -- a versatile, unique and thoughtful vehicle that was built from the ground up specifically for the members of the disability community and those who help them. VPG is also proud to feature a compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered engine -- the first factory-built, U.S.-made vehicle to offer such an option. For more company information, please visit VPG Autos .
