Co-op Close-Up: An Opportunity for High School Students Interested in Engineering to Tour Faurecia Interior Systems Nov. 12 in Auburn Hills

FLINT, MI--November 7, 2012: Faurecia, the world's sixth largest automotive supplier renowned for its innovation, and nationally ranked Kettering University, are co-hosting a program for high school students interested in science and engineering called Co-op Close-Up.

Co-op Close-up gives students the opportunity to learn what cooperative education is all about. The event is free on Monday, Nov. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Faurecia Interior Systems Technical Center, 2500 Executive Hills Drive in Auburn Hills.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required by emailing Tracie Jones, associate director of Admissions at tjones@kettering.edu to RSVP.

Kettering University in Flint, Michigan, is a highly acclaimed private university that offers experiential learning and professional cooperative education through innovative programs in engineering, math, science and business. At Kettering, students alternate between school and full- time work terms in their field of interest, allowing them to build an impressive resume while going to school.

Faurecia is one of Kettering's more than 500 co-op work partners and is allowing interested students to get a glimpse what a co-op student actually does at their high-tech facility. Attendees will talk to current co-op students, meet alumni and employees of Faurecia and obtain information from Kettering Admissions representatives.
