COSTA MESA, CA--Nov. 15, 2012: Hyundai Motor America has once again committed $50,000 towards the efforts of Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. Continuing its long standing relationship with the organization, Hyundai joined with Habitat OC recently to build homes for families in need in Orange County. On Saturday, November 5, more than 20 employees from Hyundai joined with members of Habitat OC to construct a new home in Santa Ana. Over the past decade, Hyundai Motor America has committed $335,000 towards local home development efforts and $50,000 annually since 2010.

"At Hyundai we operate under the theme of 'Moving the World Together' and we're determined to make a better future for families through our volunteer work and charitable investment dollars," said Zafar Brooks, Director of General Affairs at Hyundai Motor America. "We have been a long-time partner of Habitat's and we share in their vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live."

Habitat for Humanity of Orange County helps families in need purchase or renovate their own homes. Over the last 24 years, Habitat OC has built 172 homes together with its volunteers for families in Orange County. Habitat OC is currently building two homes in Santa Ana, both of which are scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.

"It's always an absolute honor to serve with corporations that are community-minded," said Sharon Ellis, President/CEO, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. "Hyundai's enthusiasm for helping revitalize communities in Orange County was evident when Hyundai team members joined Habitat for Humanity of Orange County to build an affordable, ownership home in Santa Ana."

In 2011, Frank Ferrara, Executive Vice President Customer Satisfaction, Hyundai Motor America, was appointed a member of Habitat for Humanity's Board of Directors. The appointment further strengthens the bond between the automotive company and the charitable efforts of the organization. Since his appointment, Ferrara has used his expertise to help Habitat for Humanity of Orange County grow in its ability to provide more affordable homes for Orange County's families.
