MONTREAL--November 21, 2012: -ImmerVision, the inventor of the 360-degree panomorph lens and worldwide expert in immersive optical technology, announced today that Visteon's latest concept vehicle, the e-Bee, incorporates cutting-edge panomorph technology to eliminate rear-view blind spots. With ImmerVision Enables® onboard, the e-Bee was displayed at ELECTRONICA in Munich from November 13-16, and showcased panoramic imaging applications of the future.

In 2014, the USA will be the first country to establish the obligatory integration of rear-view camera systems in every new vehicle sold in America. Offering more than a simple rear camera, the e-Bee leverages the panomorph technology to expand visibility with a 182 by 360 degree field-of-view, heighten optical performance, and support more powerful advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Wide-angle views and increased resolution offered by the 360-degree panomorph solution will be cornerstones of quality rear-view camera applications that are to follow from the newly instated law.
