Ford utilities make unprecedented gains in critical markets
globally
Ford made a bet with its One Ford plan
and now it's paying off. The company is leading a major global shift to
fuel-efficient and functional utility vehicles, growing its sales in the
last five years faster than any of its other vehicle segments and faster
than the industry average. Led by the global launch of EcoSport and
Escape/Kuga, Ford is expected to outpace industry growth over the next five
years.
Ford uses 3D imaging to make trucks tougher, quieter
Ford engineers are using 3D mapping in what is believed to be the
technology's first application in the auto industry to better analyze rear
axle parts of F-Series pickups during assembly, leading to a smoother,

Serious sustainability: Fusion takes Ford's use of recycled material
in fabric global
Ford Fusion is the first global vehicle program from any automaker to
use seat fabric made from recycled material, with the potential to recycle
enough plastic bottles and post-industrial waste to make 1.5 million yards
of fabric annually. That's equivalent to between 800,000 and 900,000 yards
in North America when Fusion is in full
production.
Ford honors top suppliers around the globe
Ford hosted the 15th annual World Excellence Awards ceremony Thursday
to celebrate 47 of its top-performing global suppliers in 2012. The
award-winning suppliers represent thousands of employees across the globe
who bring diverse cultures, values and ideas to Ford.
Ford launches 'Rolling with Ford AND The BET Awards Contest'
Ford is looking to give one winner the opportunity of a lifetime at the
2013 BET Awards. The "Rolling with Ford AND The BET Awards Contest" will
award one consumer with a VIP experience to the 2013 BET Awards in Los Angeles June 30.
