SLOUGH, UNITED KINGDOM – June 24, 2013: Roving reporters, the Honda Live Studio, ATV action, off-road motorcycle experience, motorsport icons and Hillclimb battles are just some of the Honda action taking place throughout the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed #FoS.

Honda at the Moving Motor Show
The four day fun-packed, adrenaline fuelled Festival starts on Thursday 11 July with the Moving Motor Show where Honda will be giving guests the chance to take a new Civic 1.6 i-DTEC up the iconic Goodwood Hillclimb.

One lucky Civic and one fortunate Fireblade owner are in with a chance to see their Honda take pride of place on the Honda stand in the Moving Motor Show area for the duration of the Festival, alongside the racing BTCC and WTCC Civics. The competition winners will also get a pair of VIP tickets to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the whole weekend including Paddock access, Snoozebox accommodation, a run-around car and the opportunity to drive the famous Hillclimb on the Thursday.

The competition is being run on the Honda (UK) Facebook page and owners of any age or specification of Civic or Fireblade are eligible to enter. All they need to do is upload a picture of their Civic or Fireblade before 5pm on Monday 24 June and explain why they love it. Honda will then make a shortlist before handing it over to the Honda (UK) Facebook community to vote for the overall winners.

Honda Live
Roving reporters and roaming camera crews will be out and about capturing all the action from around the Festival, including behind the scenes moments and interviews with motorsport legends and famous faces. All the footage captured will be edited on-site in the Honda Live Studio and run on screens at all the Honda areas throughout the four days. Stop by the Honda Live Studio to see the magic happening.

Honda ATV and Motocross Experience
If Festival goers have ever fancied a go on an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) or trying out an off-road motorcycle, then Honda is offering the perfect opportunity. Guests can have a go on one of Honda’s ATVs on a specially designed course and try out two-wheels with the Honda motorcycle off-road experience completely free of charge. Both these activities will be running between 9am-5pm on all four days of the event (Thurs-Sun) on a first come, first served basis, right in the heart of the Festival of Speed.

Hillclimb Action
Four wheeled Honda legends from the 60s and the present day will negotiate the famous Goodwood Hillclimb with a host of Honda’s racing champions including John Surtees and Gabriele Tarquini behind the wheel. Two of Honda’s V12 Formula One racers from the 60s – the 1.5 litre RA272, plus the RA300 from the early 3.0 litre era will be in action alongside Honda’s latest four-wheeled BTCC championship winning Civic.

The new-shape Civic made its BTCC debut in 2012 and proceeded to secure the Honda Yuasa Racing team the manufacturers’ and teams’ titles. It also powered driver Gordon ‘Flash’ Shedden to his first BTCC Championship crown with 2011 champion Matt Neal a close second. This Civic forms the basis of Honda Yuasa Racing’s assault on the 2013 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and both Flash and Matt will be negotiating the machine up the Goodwood Hillclimb throughout the weekend.

The Festival of Speed is the largest motoring garden party in the world. Held in the grounds of Goodwood House, this annual event is a celebration of motor sport and all things automotive.
